Packing

1. Kid’s Luggage: This suitcase (the Trunki) for little ones allows them to ride on the back of it allowing you to tow your little one and their luggage at the same time.  Kids love it!

Efficient Transportation

2. Lightweight and compact/collapsible stroller: This gb Pockit+ lightweight baby stroller has an ultra-compact collapsible design allowing it to fit in most overhead compartments of planes and trains.

3. Stroller Parent Console: This is truly helpful when you are traveling!  Such a nice way to keep your items organized and not just stuffed under the stroller!

4. Mommy Hook: So helpful to use to clip bags onto your stroller! I have used this countless times!  Simple but helpful!

5. Baby Carrier: We loved this baby carrier that both my husband and I could wear and have our hands free! It is built specifically with lumbar support for extra back comfort that will be helpful as your baby gets heavier. Sometimes this is easier than maneuvering around with a stroller!

6. Britax Car Mirror: Want to make driving with your little one easier?  Get one of these mirrors for your backseat so that you can see a reflection of your child at all times while you are driving.  The mirror is easy to install and shatter-proof!

Sleeping

7. Playard/Travel Crib: Since we had to travel a lot during the first year of our baby’s life, we decided to splurge for a nicer playard as she would use that as a travel crib on the road. This playard has some awesome features – SUPER soft cushion on the bottom, side zipper for easy transfer of your sleeping baby, and when not in use the playard easily folds into a carrying case that doubles as a backpack. It’s also certified safe and non-toxic!

8. Sound Machine: We swear by this device and even bring it with us when we travel!  We had this item purchased for us off our registry and started using it with our little one from Day 1.  Buy it!

9. Inflatable footrest: These are inflatable and take up no space at all while stored.  They can be used as a leg rest for older kids in the car or extend a seat for a makeshift bed on a plane for a baby or toddler.  Really makes travel more pleasant for your little one!

Entertainment

10. Tablet Car Rest Holder: A simple and extremely useful item to take with you on a long car ride with little ones is this tablet holder. Works well with all iPad and Samsung tablets and comes with an adjustable strap.

Health and Safety

11. First Aid Kit: I keep a first aid kit in our diaper bag and in our car glove compartment in case of emergencies.  It includes kid-friendly bandages, antibiotic cream, safety pins and more.

12. Disinfecting wipes: Depending on the mess, you want to sanitize the surfaces affected.  These Lysol disinfecting to-go wipes are perfect for that and easy to put in the diaper bag!

13. Portable baby gate: If you are going somewhere with known stairs, you may consider picking this up for your little one.  No drilling required!

Eating Out

14. Disposable placemats: Once your baby starts eating solid food, these are a must when you go out to eat! They have sticky strips that attach to the table, and they are BPA, PVC, phthalate, and lead free.

15. Snack Catcher: These snack holders are cheap and SPILL PROOF. What more could you want?! Great for travel!

16. Sippy cup: We love these non-spill sippy cups that your little one can drink from using the 360 degree lip. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe.

17. Portable booster seat: This is really helpful to have if you are staying somewhere without a highchair, and the best part is that it folds neatly into a thin carrying case for travel.

18. Insulated Cooler: If you are working and pumping or need to take bottles with you while you are traveling, an insulated cooler is a must. This one specifically is designed to carry bottles, so they fit perfectly!

19. Portable Bottle Drying Rack: It can be challenging to wash and dry bottles or breast pump parts from your travel day in your hotel room at night, but this will make things SO MUCH EASIER! Highly recommend getting this!

20. Restaurant High Chair Cover: This is a product I swear by! We use it every time we go grocery shopping or out to eat to provide a barrier between our little one and germs on surfaces. It works great and is machine washable if your little one makes a mess while you are out to eat! Highly recommend!

Bathroom Items

21. Changing clutch: This is a great item to get and stick in your diaper bag for when you are out or traveling.  So nice to have a clean, familiar surface to lay your baby down on to change their diaper, and it is stylish too!

22. Waterproof Reusable bags: These are great for soiled clothes that you may experience while you are on the road!

Other Essentials

23. Pacifier: Our baby LOVED this pacifier, and it was really helpful for soothing at naps and bedtime! The stuffed toy is great for the baby to hold on and keep the pacifier in their mouth, and it definitely makes finding the pacifier easier around the house!

24. Pacifier wipes: You never know when a pacifier or bottle will fall on the floor, so these are really helpful to have on hand!

25. Stain removal pen: In the case of a mess of spill, it is also helpful to have one of these stain removal pens!

Happy travels, momma! Have a safe trip!
