Best Red, White, and Blue Jello Recipe

This best red, white, and blue jello dessert is perfect for any time of year, but is particularly fun for summer cookouts. This desert is a refreshing and simple option for Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Veterans Day, or Flag Day. It is perfectly patriotic with the red, white, and blue layers, but could be made with any color combinations to match whatever country, event, or holiday you are celebrating.

Ingredients

  • 3oz package of red fruit flavored JELL-O (cherry, strawberry, etc.)

  • 3oz package of blue fruit flavored JELL-O (blue berry)

  • 1 packet of unflavored gelatin (Knox)

  • 3 TBSP sugar

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 0.5 TSP vanilla extract

  • 3.5 TBSP sugar

  • Cool whip or whipped cream

  • Strawberries

Directions

  • Start by making the blue colored JELL-O according to the package instructions then equally dive the blue colored JELL-O between 4 cups and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until JELL-O has set.
  • Next, prepare the white layer of gelatin. Start by mixing 1 packet of unflavored gelatin and 0.25 cups of cold milk. Once mixed, add 0.75 cups of hot milk mixed with 3.5 TBSP of sugar and 0.5 TSP of vanilla extract. Mix well and allow to cool slightly then poor this liquid over the blue JELL-O layer and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until set.
  • Lastly, prepare the red colored JELL-O layer according to the package instructions then equally dive the red colored JELL-O between 4 cups and chill in the refrigerator for 3 hours or until JELL-O has set.
  • Before serving, top with a dallop cool whip and sliced strawberries to add a creamy, fruity texture to the JELL-O dessert!
  • Enjoy! Make ahead and keep in the fridge for a few days before your party or event!
