Ingredients
10 cups all-purpose flour
1.5 TBSP Instant Yeast
2 TBSP Brown Sugar
2 TBSP Butter (melted)
4 cups milk
1.5 TBSP salt
Directions
- In a stand mixer (if you don’t have one I highly recommend this one!) combine 4 cups all-purpose flour, instant yeast, and sugar and mix to combine with bread hook.
- Add 2 TBSP of butter to milk and microwave until milk is slightly warm and butter is mostly melted. Add this mixture to your dry ingredients in the stand mixer and mix to combine with bread hook.
- Add 4 cups of flour, adding 1 cup at a time, mixing to combine in stand mixer. Don’t worry if it’s very sticky looking. Cover mixture in the stand mixer with a damp towel and let rest for 20 minutes.
- Next add salt and 1 cup of flour (add more if it’s too sticky-you want the dough to be slightly tacky but not sticky) and knead with stand mixer bread hook attachment for 5 minutes.
- Transfer dough to a oiled bowl and toss the dough around the bowl to cover the dough lightly in oil. Cover bowl with saran wrap and let rise until it has doubled.
- After the dough has doubled dump out and divide into 3 equal pieces and shape into loaves placing the seam side down in loaf pans that have been greased generously with butter. Let rise 50 minutes covered with a damp towel.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees while loaves are rising.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until loaves are golden brown and sound hollow when you tap the top of them.
- Enjoy! Keep wrapped at room temperature for a couple of days, but freeze for longer storage.
